Vehari DC Announces Free Cattle Markets in Burewala, Mailsi

A meeting regarding the establishment of additional cattle markets in Burewala and Mailsi was held under the chairmanship of Deputy Commissioner Vehari Khalid Javed Goraya, while District Police Officer Tassawar Iqbal also participated in the session. The deputy commissioner directed the municipal committees to establish one additional cattle market each in Burewala and Mailsi.

Facilities and Instructions

He further instructed the authorities to ensure cleanliness, provision of water, fodder, camps, security arrangements, parking facilities, and smooth traffic flow on roads leading to cattle markets. Speaking on the occasion, Deputy Commissioner Khalid Javed Goraya emphasised that all concerned departments should work in close coordination to ensure proper management and provision of facilities at cattle markets.

Free Markets and Legal Compliance

He stated that no fee would be charged in cattle markets established by municipal committees and stressed that illegal sale points must not be allowed under any circumstances. District Police Officer Tassawar Iqbal said that foolproof security arrangements would be ensured during the establishment and operation of cattle markets. He added that an effective traffic management plan would also be implemented to maintain smooth vehicular movement around the markets.

Among others, Additional Deputy Commissioner General Ghulam Murtaza, Assistant Commissioner Burewala Jawad Hussain Malik, DTO Zafar-ul-Qudoos, Chief Officer Municipal Committee Imtiaz Joiya, cattle market representatives, and other officials attended the meeting, while Assistant Commissioner Mailsi Saad Bin Khalid joined via video link.
