On the directives of District Police Officer Vehari Tassawar Iqbal, a solemn ceremony was conducted to commemorate the 16th martyrdom anniversary of Assistant Sub-Inspector (ASI) Muhammad Sarfraz Shaheed. The event took place at the martyr's grave, where SDPO Vehari Jamshed Akram, accompanied by SHO Jhal Sial Hammad-ul-Hassan Bodla and Welfare Incharge Muhammad Tasleem, laid a floral wreath and offered Fateha. A police contingent presented a guard of honour as a mark of respect for the supreme sacrifice made by the fallen officer.

DPO Tassawar Iqbal stated that the sacrifices of police martyrs would never be forgotten. He emphasized that the peace and stability enjoyed in the country are a direct result of the unparalleled bravery and dedication of these officers. He further reaffirmed that the welfare and care of the families of martyrs remain among the top priorities of the Punjab Police.
Details of the Martyrdom
ASI Muhammad Sarfraz embraced martyrdom on 27 June 2010. He sustained fatal injuries while attempting to stop a suspicious car during his duty at Khanewal Chowk in Vehari. His courageous act in the line of duty continues to inspire his colleagues and the local community.
