PPP Victory in GB Elections Reflects Public Trust

ISLAMABAD: Senator Waqar Mehdi, General Secretary of the Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) Sindh chapter, stated on Tuesday that the party's decisive victory in the Gilgit-Baltistan Assembly elections reflects public acknowledgment of its unwavering commitment to public service, democratic struggle, and enduring sacrifices.

In a statement, he attributed the remarkable success to the tireless efforts, visionary leadership, and extensive public outreach campaign led by PPP Chairman Bilawal Bhutto Zardari and First Lady Bibi Aseefa Bhutto Zardari. He added that the people's mandate once again demonstrates that the PPP remains the true symbol of the federation and the foremost repository of the hopes and aspirations of the people.

The PPP Senator said that the politically conscious and enlightened people of Gilgit-Baltistan have once again reposed their full confidence in the PPP. He noted that the people of the region have rejected the politics of hatred, division, and discord, instead voting for an agenda centered on development, progress, and public service.

He said that the PPP has always remained at the forefront of championing the rights of underprivileged communities, youth, women, and people living in remote and underserved areas.

He added that the people of Gilgit-Baltistan have once again affirmed their allegiance to the vision and ideology of Quaid-e-Awam Shaheed Zulfikar Ali Bhutto and Shaheed Mohtarma Benazir Bhutto. This historic victory, he said, is a tribute to all party workers, Jiyalas, and voters whose trust, dedication, and commitment made this success possible.

Senator Waqar Mehdi said that under the dynamic leadership of Chairman Bilawal Bhutto Zardari, the PPP is steadily emerging as the country's largest representative political force and the most credible voice of the people. He reaffirmed that the PPP will continue its struggle and commitment to transforming Gilgit-Baltistan into a bright, prosperous, and developed region.
