Mother and Son Tortured by Influential Group in Faqirwali
District Police Officer (DPO) Muhammad Imran has taken strong notice of an incident where a woman and her son were allegedly tortured by local influential persons within the limits of Faqirwali police station in Bahawalnagar. According to a police spokesman, a group of influential individuals allegedly beat a youth with rods and pipes, causing serious injuries to his arms, back, and hands. The victim was immediately shifted to a local hospital for medical treatment.
FIR Registered, Three Accused Arrested
Upon receiving the report, the Faqirwali police station registered a case (FIR No 409/26) based on a complaint filed by Hafiz Hamza against the accused. Acting on DPO Muhammad Imran’s directive, police swiftly arrested three suspects. The investigation is ongoing.
DPO Vows Justice and No Concessions
DPO Muhammad Imran stated that immediate and effective action is being ensured against crimes targeting women and children. He emphasized that all legal requirements will be fulfilled to deliver justice to the victim’s family, and no concession will be granted to anyone involved in the incident.
