Former provincial minister and Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) Provincial Information Secretary Shaukat Yousafzai on Friday inaugurated a series of development schemes worth around Rs30 million in Shangla, reaffirming his party’s commitment to improving infrastructure and public services in the district.
Public Gathering in Alpuri
Addressing a public gathering during a visit to Village Council Mani Ser and Union Council Malik Khel in Tehsil Alpuri, Mr Yousafzai said development work in Shangla would continue at an accelerated pace to address longstanding public needs and improve living standards.
Accompanied by senior PTI leader Fawad Ali Noor and Tehsil Chairman Alpuri Waqar Ahmad Khan, he thanked residents and party workers for their warm reception and said the people of Shangla had consistently supported “people-centric and progressive politics”.
Inaugurated Projects
Among the projects inaugurated was a one-kilometre asphalt road from Bazar Kot to Amnawi, to be completed at a cost of Rs14 million. He also inaugurated the Kotkay-to-Mani Ser PCC road and expansion project costing Rs5 million.
In addition, Mr Yousafzai formally opened the Jai Mani Ser PCC and road expansion scheme and laid the foundation stone for a PCC pavement and road improvement project in Mani Ser estimated at Rs1.2 million.
Officials informed the gathering that the total value of the schemes launched during the visit amounted to approximately Rs30 million.
Commitment to Development
Mr Yousafzai said improved road infrastructure would enhance mobility, facilitate commercial activity and expand access to essential public services. He pledged that development projects would continue across Shangla without discrimination, adding that investment in remote areas remained crucial to the district’s socio-economic progress.
