LAHORE – Punjab Minister for Information and Culture Azma Bokhari has stated that the Punjab Government, led by Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz, has presented its third consecutive historic surplus budget, calling it a testament to robust financial discipline and effective governance.
Budget Presented Amid Economic Challenges
Speaking to the media outside the Punjab Assembly on Tuesday, Bokhari highlighted that the budget was formulated and presented under difficult economic circumstances, including global tensions and the aftermath of severe floods that further strained the provincial economy.
She emphasized that despite these challenges, the government managed to achieve a surplus, reflecting prudent fiscal management and commitment to development.
