Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP) Shaheed Benazirabad, Sameer Noor Channa, and Deputy Commissioner Abdul Samad Nizamani conducted a detailed reinspection of security arrangements for the historic annual mourning procession held within the jurisdiction of Sakrand Police Station on 11th Muharram-ul-Haram 1448 Hijri. The officials carried out a ground inspection of all procession routes and closely examined security, traffic management, and administrative measures.

Enhanced Security Measures Deployed

Police officers and personnel deployed along the routes were instructed to remain on high alert. To ensure foolproof security, sniper shooters were deployed on rooftops of buildings along the procession routes. Additionally, personnel from the District Intelligence Branch (DIB), dressed in plain clothes, were assigned to monitor suspicious individuals and activities in and around the procession.

Administrative Directives and Facilities

Deputy Commissioner Abdul Samad Nizamani directed all administrative departments to remain on high alert and ensure the provision of essential facilities, including water supply, medical aid, and other necessary services for the participants. On this occasion, a thalassemia camp was set up by mourners, where participants donated blood to support patients suffering from thalassemia. SSP Sameer Noor Channa and Deputy Commissioner visited the camp and appreciated the spirit of service demonstrated by mourners.
