Three policemen martyred in Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa attacks

BANNU: Terrorists carried out a series of deadly attacks in southern districts of Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa, killing three policemen and injuring another in separate incidents over the past 24 hours.

First Attack in Bannu

In the first attack on Friday morning, Police Constable Mushkat Amir was martyred while returning home from Hamza Markaz on the Bannu-Miran Shah Road near Azad Mandi after offering morning prayers. Unidentified armed assailants opened fire on him, critically injuring him on the spot. He succumbed to his injuries immediately.

Second Incident in Bakakhel

The second incident occurred late Thursday night in the Syedgi area of Bakakhel, where Police Constable Muhammad Roshan was targeted outside his home. Roshan, attached to the Wazir Sub-Division Police and deployed at the Bakakhel camp for Temporarily Displaced Persons (TDPs) from North Waziristan, was rushed to hospital in critical condition but later succumbed to his wounds.

Third Attack in Karak

In Karak district, terrorists struck again when Constable Nasirullah, posted in the District Special Branch, was ambushed near Alagda in Mahabat Khel while on his way. He was also martyred in the attack.

These incidents highlight the ongoing security challenges in the region, with police personnel being targeted by militants. Authorities have launched investigations into the attacks and are pursuing the perpetrators.
