A tragic terrorist assault on a police mobile in the suburban region of Kohat has led to the martyrdom of six law enforcement officers, including a Deputy Superintendent of Police (DSP), and one civilian. The incident occurred on Tuesday along Shakardara Road, situated on the outskirts of Kohat, where unidentified terrorists opened fire on the police vehicle.

According to the District Police Officer (DPO), the initial firing resulted in multiple injuries among the police personnel. The DPO later confirmed that DSP Wahid Mahmood, along with three other officers, were martyred in the attack. Four additional individuals sustained injuries and were promptly transported to the hospital for medical attention.

During treatment, two more police personnel succumbed to their wounds, elevating the total number of security force martyrs to six, which includes the DSP.
