DC Murree Inspects Development Projects, Sanitation in New Bazaar

Deputy Commissioner Murree, Agha Zaheer Abbas Shirazi, conducted a visit to the New Murree Bazaar on Friday to oversee ongoing development projects and review civic management arrangements in the area. He was accompanied by Additional Deputy Commissioner (General) Murree Kamran Sagheer, along with officers from relevant departments.

Development Projects Review

During the inspection, the deputy commissioner assessed the progress of various development schemes. Officials provided detailed briefings regarding construction quality, implementation status, and completion timelines. Agha Zaheer Abbas Shirazi directed the concerned departments to ensure transparency, high construction standards, and timely completion of all development projects so that improved public facilities can be provided to residents and visitors.

Sanitation and Cleanliness

The deputy commissioner also inspected sanitation arrangements in the bazaar and surrounding areas. He reviewed the performance of relevant civic agencies and instructed officials to further improve cleanliness standards, ensure timely waste disposal, and maintain special sanitation measures at tourist attractions.

Anti-Encroachment Drive

Encroachment issues in the market were discussed in detail during the visit. The deputy commissioner directed officials to launch indiscriminate action against illegal encroachments on government land and footpaths to facilitate smooth movement of tourists. He emphasized that the ongoing anti-encroachment campaign would be made more effective and warned that any illegal activity detrimental to the public interest would not be tolerated.
