Addressing the officials, DC Nizamani underscored that close coordination, timely response, and complete harmony among all departments are non-negotiable elements for managing natural disasters, accidents, and other crises. He issued clear directives to rescue services, health authorities, police, and other concerned institutions to further strengthen their preparedness and ensure the regular implementation of emergency plans.
Mock Emergency Drill Announced for Bilawal Sports Complex
During the briefing, RF Dr. Kaneish informed the participants that, on the directives of the Provincial Disaster Management Authority (PDMA), an emergency drill will be conducted in the Shaheed Benazirabad district. This exercise, organized in collaboration with all relevant departments, is designed to assess the district's preparedness for natural disasters.
Dr. Kaneish explained that the drill will evaluate the available resources, manpower, and equipment of key institutions including Rescue 1122, the Health Department, and the police. The primary goal is to keep the communication and response system active for immediate action during an actual emergency. The mock exercise will be held at the Bilawal Sports Complex.
DC Appoints Focal Person, Demands Full Cooperation
DC Abdul Samad Nizamani instructed all concerned officers to provide their full cooperation for the PDMA-organized drill. To ensure seamless execution, District Health Officer Dr. Mudassar Hussain was appointed as the focal person for this critical initiative.
