DC Vehari Inspects Old Age Home, Cart Market, and Infrastructure Project

Deputy Commissioner Vehari Khalid Javed Goraya conducted an extensive tour of key public facilities on Tuesday, inspecting the Bait-ul-Sukoon Old Age Home, the newly established cart market at Vehari-Multan Chungi, and the ongoing tough tiles development project on Vehari-Multan Road. During the visits, he issued multiple directives aimed at improving services for senior citizens, vendors, and commuters.

Bait-ul-Sukoon Old Age Home Improvements

At Bait-ul-Sukoon Old Age Home, the Deputy Commissioner reviewed the facilities provided to senior citizens. He directed authorities to ensure separate accommodation for male and female residents. He also ordered the installation of wallpaper and LED lighting in rooms, Safe City surveillance cameras, air coolers, wardrobes, additional plantation in the lawn, children’s swings for visitors, and an increase in the height of the boundary wall to enhance security. Furthermore, he instructed the Health Department to deploy medical teams twice a week for regular health check-ups of the elderly residents. He emphasized that providing dignified, secure, and high-quality care to senior citizens remains a top priority of the district administration.

Cart Market Inspection and Vendor Facilities

Later, the Deputy Commissioner inspected the cart market established at Vehari-Multan Chungi. He directed officials to ensure proper lighting arrangements and improved facilities for vendors. He stated that the provision of a permanent and organized marketplace for cart vendors would help eliminate encroachments, improve traffic flow, and enhance the city’s beauty. He added that all carts have been designed in a uniform size and layout to maintain order and improve the market’s appearance.

Tough Tiles Project on Vehari-Multan Road

During his inspection of the ongoing tough tiles project on Vehari-Multan Road, Khalid Javed Goraya instructed the concerned officers to ensure high-quality construction with a strong base and strict implementation of safety measures throughout the execution of the project.

Additional Deputy Commissioner (Finance & Development) Muhammad Afzal, Chief Officer District Council and Municipal Committee Sajid Mahmood, District Officer (I&S) Faheem Shahzad, Sub-Engineer Rao Adil, Amjad Qureshi, Admin Officer Hakeem Mian Ali Asad Arain, and other concerned officials accompanied the Deputy Commissioner during the inspections.
