Major Police Operation Nets Multiple Suspects
In a significant crackdown against criminal activities, the Rawalpindi Police have successfully arrested 11 individuals during a series of targeted operations conducted on Friday. The coordinated efforts focused on dismantling networks involved in narcotics distribution and the possession of illegal weapons and alcohol.
Substantial Drug Haul Recovered
The anti-narcotics operations yielded substantial results, with police recovering significant quantities of illegal substances. According to official statements, the Wah Saddar Police apprehended one suspect and confiscated 1.5 kilograms of hashish. In a separate but simultaneous action, the Gujar Khan Police detained another individual and seized 1.3 kilograms of the same contraband.
Illegal Liquor and Weapons Seized
Parallel operations targeting illegal alcohol and arms resulted in nine additional arrests across multiple police jurisdictions. The Sadiqabad Police made two arrests, recovering 14 litres of liquor along with firearms and ammunition. Meanwhile, the Rawat Police detained four persons and seized 10 litres and two bottles of illicit liquor.
Further successes were recorded by the Kallar Syedan Police, who recovered five litres of alcohol from one individual. The Civil Lines and Taxila Police stations each made single arrests, with both operations resulting in the seizure of one bottle of illegal liquor from their respective suspects.
These coordinated operations demonstrate the Rawalpindi Police's continued commitment to combating drug trafficking and illegal weapons possession in the region. The recovery of substantial quantities of contraband highlights the effectiveness of intelligence-based policing strategies.
