In a dramatic turn of events, two alleged robbers, who were reportedly involved in a recent gang rape incident, were killed in an encounter with police in Burewala on Tuesday. The shootout occurred within the jurisdiction of the Chayal police station.

According to an official police spokesperson, the suspects were members of a criminal gang actively involved in looting commuters near Basti Islamabad. A police team arrived at the scene with the intention of apprehending the robbers. However, the situation escalated rapidly when the suspects opened fire on the officers.
The police team responded with retaliatory fire, resulting in the on-the-spot death of two robbers. The deceased have been identified as Anwar Khan Pathan and Tehzeeb-Ul-Hassan Pathan. Authorities confirmed that both individuals were active criminals with a history of serious offenses.
