In a significant crackdown, the Islamabad Capital Territory (ICT) Police have dismantled an unlawful massage centre operating in the upscale F-7 sector of the federal capital. The operation led to the detention of sixteen individuals and the registration of a formal case.
Raids and Detentions in Jinnah Super Market
The decisive action was carried out by the Kohsar Police team, which raided a premises located on the second floor of Plaza No. 13 in Jinnah Super Market, F-7. The raid followed numerous complaints from the public and verified intelligence reports indicating that immoral activities were being conducted under the cover of a salon.
Upon entering, police officials found men and women inside in objectionable conditions. The individuals were allowed time to dress before being taken into custody. In total, 10 women and six men were detained, and their personal details were officially recorded for subsequent legal proceedings.
New SHO's First Major Action and Case Registration
This crackdown marks the first major operation since Malik Asif assumed charge as the Station House Officer (SHO) of Kohsar Police Station. An official stated that the raid was conducted promptly after his posting, demonstrating a renewed focus on curbing unlawful activities in the area.
A formal case, FIR No. 1227/25, has been registered at the Kohsar Police Station under Section 294 of the Pakistan Penal Code (PPC). The report was filed by ASI Muhammad Nadir Khan. Police have also seized and sealed evidence recovered from the site, including items used in the illegal operations.
Wider Network Probe and Public Reaction
Preliminary investigations suggest the possible involvement of a broader network. This has prompted coordination with other police stations across Islamabad to identify and verify if similar illicit centres are operating elsewhere in the city.
The police action has been welcomed by local residents and social circles, who have expressed confidence in the new SHO's resolve to uphold the rule of law. Islamabad Police officials have reiterated their commitment, stating that indiscriminate action will continue against all elements involved in illegal or immoral activities to ensure public safety and social order in the capital.
