The disturbing footage, which rapidly spread online, shows a man identified as Nauman physically attacking the woman, Yasmeen, on a staircase. Another woman, believed to be Shamsa, is seen attempting to intervene and stop the beating. According to the authorities, this brutal incident occurred on December 11 in the Buffer Zone area of Karachi.

In her formal statement to the police, the victim, Yasmeen, explained that she was employed for cleaning work at House No. R-530, Sector 15-B, Buffer Zone. She stated that a minor verbal argument had taken place between her and Shamsa, Nauman's wife, on December 10 during her work hours.

The situation escalated dramatically the next day. Around 4:30 PM on December 11, as Yasmeen was leaving the premises and going down the stairs, Nauman arrived. He allegedly began beating her, hurling verbal abuse, and even pushing her down the staircase. Yasmeen credited local residents with intervening to rescue her from the ongoing assault.

Police Action and Case Registration

Following the attack, Yasmeen sustained significant internal injuries to her face and body. After receiving necessary medical treatment, she approached the Gabol Town Police Station to file a formal complaint.

Acting on her complaint, the police promptly registered FIR No. 217/2025 against the primary accused, Nauman. The charges invoked are serious sections of the Pakistan Penal Code:

  • Section 504 (Intentional insult with intent to provoke breach of peace)
  • Section 354 (Assault or criminal force to woman with intent to outrage her modesty)
  • Section 337-A(i) (Hurt causing bodily pain, disease, or infirmity)

SHO Gabol Town Rao Khalid confirmed that the case has been transferred to the investigation wing for further proceedings. He disclosed that police teams have conducted multiple raids at the suspect's residence to apprehend him. However, the accused has reportedly locked his house and fled the area. Law enforcement agencies are actively pursuing all leads to trace and arrest the fugitive.
