15 Militants Killed in KP Counter-Terrorism Ops

Pakistan's security forces have successfully eliminated at least fifteen suspected militants from the Fitna-al-Khawarij group during two separate intelligence-based operations conducted in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa province. The military's media wing, the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR), provided details of these significant counter-terrorism achievements.

Dera Ismail Khan Operation Neutralizes Ten Militants

The first operation unfolded in the Kulachi area of Dera Ismail Khan, where security forces initiated action based on credible intelligence about militant presence. During the intense engagement, troops successfully targeted a militant hideout, resulting in the death of ten extremists. Among those killed was the alleged ringleader, identified as Alam Mehsud, dealing a significant blow to the militant network's leadership structure in the region.

North Waziristan Action Adds Five More Neutralizations

In a simultaneous but separate action, security forces conducted another intelligence-driven operation in Datta Khel, North Waziristan. This operation proved equally successful, with forces neutralizing five more militants affiliated with the same terrorist group. The precision strikes demonstrate the effectiveness of intelligence-based military actions in the ongoing fight against terrorism.

Ongoing Sanitization and National Security Context

Following both successful operations, comprehensive sanitization efforts are currently underway to clear the surrounding areas of any remaining threats or explosive materials. According to the ISPR statement, these operations are integral components of the ongoing counter-terrorism campaign 'Azm-e-Istehkam', which received approval from the Federal Apex Committee on the National Action Plan. This comprehensive strategy aims to systematically eliminate foreign-sponsored militancy from Pakistani soil.

This development comes just weeks after another major counter-terrorism operation on October 24, when Pakistani security forces killed eight Fitna-al-Khawarij militants and injured five others in Lakki Marwat's Wanda Sheikh Allah area. Security officials described that previous operation as being executed with high military precision, effectively leaving the militants with no escape route.
