In a significant victory against the narcotics trade, the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Excise, Taxation and Narcotics Control Department has successfully intercepted a major drug smuggling attempt. The operation led to the recovery of 20,400 grams (20.4 kg) of charas, dealing a blow to illicit drug networks in the region.

Acting on a specific tip-off, a specialized team from the Bureau of Intelligence and Investigation of the Excise Department sprang into action. The operation was conducted strategically near the Takhta Baig Check Post on the directives of the Provincial Minister, Syed Fakhar Jehan, reflecting the government's stringent stance.
Operation Under Expert Supervision
The raid was executed under the direct supervision of key officials, including Provincial In-charge Saud Khan Gandapur and Excise and Taxation Officer (Narcotics Control) Majid Khan. The field team, led by Inspector Muazzam Jan, meticulously searched a suspect vehicle, registered with the number 1092, which ultimately yielded the large cache of contraband.
