Seven-Year-Old Girl Drowns in Muzaffargarh Drain

MUZAFFARGARH: The body of a seven-year-old girl who drowned in the Beheshti drain near Gadpur Chowk, Basti Maitla, was recovered on Wednesday following a search operation by Rescue 1122.

Details of the Incident

According to rescue sources, the victim, Humaira Bibi, daughter of Mazhar Hussain and a resident of Lalo Chowk near Murra City, Muzaffargarh, accidentally fell into the drain while playing near Gadpur Chowk and drowned. Upon receiving information, the Rescue 1122 control room dispatched an ambulance and a rescue vehicle to the scene.

Search and Recovery

Rescue teams, with the assistance of local residents, conducted a search operation lasting approximately one and a half hours. The body was eventually recovered from the drain about four kilometers away from the point of the incident. Rescue personnel shifted the body after completing necessary formalities and handed it over to the heirs.
