Federal Government Reaffirms Commitment to Balochistan

Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Ishaq Dar along with Speaker National Assembly Sardar Ayaz Sadiq on Monday reiterated the federal government's unwavering commitment to extending all possible support for the sustainable development of Balochistan and the welfare of its people. The assurance came during a meeting with a delegation from Balochistan at Parliament House in Islamabad.

The delegation comprised Members of the Balochistan Assembly, parliamentary leaders, and members of the Balochistan Cabinet. During the meeting, Dar and Sadiq emphasized the importance of close coordination, constructive engagement, and a shared strategic vision between the Federation and the Province to advance Balochistan’s development, strengthen peace and stability, promote public prosperity, and ensure good governance.

Delegation Commends Federal Efforts

The members of the Balochistan delegation commended the Federal Government’s efforts for the development of the province and the well-being of its people. They expressed satisfaction over the progress of ongoing development initiatives and voiced confidence that continued federal support would further consolidate the process of development, prosperity, and lasting stability in Balochistan.

The delegation also lauded the diplomatic efforts of Prime Minister Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif, Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Senator Ishaq Dar, and Field Marshal Syed Asim Munir. They described the successful signing of the Islamabad Memorandum of Understanding as a significant diplomatic milestone and a major step towards promoting peace and stability in the region.

Among those present at the meeting were Governor Balochistan Sheikh Jaffar Khan Mandokhail, Chief Minister Balochistan Mir Sarfraz Ahmed Bugti, Speaker of the Balochistan Assembly Captain (Retd.) Abdul Khaliq Khan Achakzai, Senior Minister and Parliamentary Leader Sardar Ahmed Khosa, Member of the National Assembly Jamal Shah Kakar, and several provincial ministers including Noor Muhammad Dummar (Food), Raheela Hameed Khan Durrani (Education), Mir Muhammad Asim Kurd Gello (Revenue), Barkat Ali Rind (Fisheries and Coastal Development), Nawabzada Muhammad Zarain Khan Magsi (Culture and Tourism, Law and Parliamentary Affairs), and Muhammad Khan Lehri (Excise and Taxation). Members of the Provincial Assembly Zarak Khan, Ashok Kumar, Dr. Rubaba, Hadiya Nawaz, and Muhammad Khan Toor also attended.
