FAISALABAD – A significant decline in the crime rate has been recorded in the city due to effective leadership, modern policing strategies, and timely actions under the supervision of City Police Officer Tanveer Hussain. According to a police report, the use of modern technology, effective patrolling, and strict action against fake helpline calls have produced positive results.
Sharp Drop in Rescue Helpline Calls
On June 12, only 26 calls were received on the rescue helpline, compared to 72 calls reported on the same day last year, showing a reduction of 46 calls. The data further reveals that during the first 12 days of June this year, the number of helpline calls decreased to around 500 from more than 1,100 recorded during the same period last year. Police officials termed the decline a clear indication of improved crime control and effective policing.
CPO Visits Faisalabad Chamber of Commerce
CPO Tanveer Hussain paid an important visit to the Faisalabad Chamber of Commerce and Industry (FCCI), where he was warmly welcomed by President Sheikh Farooq Yousaf, Senior Vice President Naveed Akram, Vice President Engineer Asim, and other office bearers. They presented him with a bouquet on his arrival.
The meeting at the Chamber commenced with the national anthem, after which the CPO gave a detailed briefing on modern policing measures, crime control initiatives, and the overall law and order situation. CPO Tanveer Hussain said that the issues of the business community would be resolved on a priority basis. Special patrolling and enhanced security measures have been implemented to further improve security in industrial areas. He also reaffirmed the commitment to ensure the safety and security of foreign nationals, including Chinese citizens.
Business Community Appreciates Police Performance
On the occasion, President Sheikh Farooq Yousaf, SVP Naveed Akram, VP Engineer Asim, and other representatives of the business community appreciated the performance of Faisalabad Police. They termed the crime control measures commendable despite limited resources and assured their full cooperation with the police. The Faisalabad Chamber of Commerce and Industry presented an honorary shield to CPO Tanveer Hussain in recognition of his efforts and initiatives.
Tribute Paid to Shahenshah-e-Ghazal Mehdi Hassan
In a separate event, tribute was paid to the legendary singer Mehdi Hassan, known as Shahenshah-e-Ghazal, for his contributions to music.
