Harry Brook Becomes No.1 in ICC Test Batting Rankings

England batter Harry Brook has climbed to the No. 1 spot in the latest ICC Test batting rankings, overtaking fellow England star Joe Root. According to the updated rankings released by the International Cricket Council, Brook now leads the Test batting standings, while Travis Head has moved up to second place. Root has slipped to third position.

Top 10 Test Batsmen

Former Australia captain Steve Smith remains fourth, while Kamindu Mendis has advanced to fifth place. Kane Williamson dropped one spot to sixth. South Africa skipper Temba Bavuma holds seventh place, while India’s Shubman Gill climbed two positions to eighth. Indian opener Yashasvi Jaiswal slipped to ninth, with Dinesh Chandimal rounding out the top ten.

Test Bowling Rankings

In the Test bowling rankings, India fast bowler Jasprit Bumrah retained the No. 1 position. Australia’s Mitchell Starc is ranked second, followed by captain Pat Cummins in third. South Africa’s Marco Jansen, Australia’s Scott Boland and Pakistan spinner Nauman Ali each gained one position to move into fourth, fifth and sixth places respectively.

New Zealand pacer Matt Henry dropped three places to seventh, while Kagiso Rabada remained eighth and Josh Hazlewood stayed ninth. England’s Gus Atkinson recorded the biggest rise among the top bowlers, jumping seven spots to tenth.
