Punjab Karate Session Trains 40 Young Athletes

The CM Punjab Sports Academies programme continued its grassroots development initiative with a successful karate training session at the Elite Training Centre, Nishtar Park Sports Complex. A total of 40 young athletes, including 18 boys and 22 girls, participated in the session, receiving professional instruction from coach M. Amir.

Training Focus and Coaching

The session concentrated on fundamental karate techniques and modern combat skills. Coach M. Amir provided expert guidance to improve technical ability while promoting discipline, confidence, and physical fitness among the participants. The programme aims to build a strong foundation for young athletes in karate.

Monitoring and Implementation

DG Sports Punjab Tariq Qureshi is closely monitoring the academies to ensure effective implementation of the year-round training programme across the province. He stated that the CM Punjab Sports Academies are playing a vital role in identifying and nurturing young sporting talent by offering free, high-quality coaching in various disciplines. The initiative aims to provide aspiring athletes with a professional training environment while fostering a strong sporting culture throughout Punjab.
