Saudi Arabia and Senegal played out a goalless draw in their final World Cup warm-up match on Wednesday in San Antonio, Texas. The Saudi side, coached by Greek manager Giorgos Donis, fielded a strong starting eleven in the first half before making ten substitutions after the break.

Senegal finished the match with ten men after forward Nicolas Jackson was sent off in the 84th minute for a second yellow card. Saudi Arabia created several chances in the opening period, threatening goalkeeper Edouard Mendy's goal on multiple occasions.

In the 10th minute, Musab Al-Juwayr came close after a clever pass from captain Salem Al-Dawsari. Saudi goalkeeper Mohammed Al-Owais made a comfortable save from Lamine Camara's header in the 14th minute. Mohammed Abu Al-Shamat missed a golden opportunity in the 30th minute, heading over the bar from close range.
Senegal pressed hard in the closing stages of the first half but failed to seriously trouble Al-Owais. After the break, substitute Ayman Yahya unleashed a powerful long-range effort that narrowly missed the right post.
World Cup Preparations
Saudi Arabia begin their World Cup Group H campaign against Uruguay on June 16, followed by matches against Spain and Cape Verde. Senegal will open their Group I campaign against France before taking on Norway and Iraq.
