A Texas mall security guard is seeking more than $1 million in damages after filing a lawsuit against Kai Cenat, Duke Dennis, AMP Entertainment, and several others over an alleged assault during a viral livestream event. Security officer Don White filed the lawsuit in state district court following an incident at the Shops at Rivercenter mall in San Antonio on August 2, 2025.
Details of the Incident
White alleges that members of AMP were granted limited permission to film in designated areas of the shopping centre but continued livestreaming beyond those restrictions and remained on the property after the mall had closed. The lawsuit claims that White and other security personnel instructed the group to leave before police were called to remove participants involved in a hide-and-seek event taking place throughout the mall.
Alleged Assault
During the confrontation, White alleges that he was punched in the mouth by Lavoune Clarke, identified in court documents as a member of AMP's security team. White says the incident resulted in injuries requiring emergency medical treatment. He is seeking compensation for medical costs, pain and suffering, and loss of earning capacity.
Defendants Named
The lawsuit names AMP Entertainment, Kai Cenat, Duke Dennis, producer Henry Wolf, content manager Joshua Pujols, and Clarke as defendants. According to the filing, the defendants either participated in, supervised, or failed to prevent the conduct that allegedly led to White's injuries.
Widespread Attention
The incident attracted widespread attention in August 2025 when Duke Dennis was arrested at the mall. Police said officers responded around 10 p.m. to remove individuals who were playing hide-and-seek and causing disruption after business hours.
Dennis was charged with criminal trespassing and evading arrest, although those misdemeanour charges were later dismissed after he completed a pretrial diversion programme. Clarke continues to face pending felony charges, including two counts of assault on a peace officer and one count of assault on a security officer.
His attorney, Zachary Green, said, “Mr. Clarke has and continues to maintain his innocence pertaining to these claims of wrongdoing.”
