The Edhi Foundation has reunited a woman with her family 14 years after she was found abandoned at Karachi Cantt as a 14-year-old girl. According to a spokesperson, the foundation continues its mission of tracing and reuniting missing persons housed in its shelter homes with their families.

The girl, identified as Sana Sultan, daughter of Sultan, was brought to the Edhi Shelter Home in Sohrab Goth on April 16, 2012, from the Cantt Railway Help Centre. Efforts to trace her family remained ongoing for over a decade.

On Friday, June 19, 2026, her relatives were finally identified and she was handed over from the Sohrab Goth Shelter Home to her sister and brother-in-law, who had travelled from Punjab. Following the formal handover, she departed for her hometown in Lahore.
