A significant fire broke out at a textile factory on Jaranwala Road near Bara Muhammad Wala in Faisalabad on Monday, resulting in the destruction of valuable materials. The incident occurred within the jurisdiction of Saddar Police Station.

Cause of the Blaze

According to a spokesperson from Rescue 1122, the fire originated at Zamal Textile Factory in an area where old tires were stored. It is alleged that a worker carelessly discarded a lit cigarette, which ignited the combustible materials. The flames quickly spread to adjacent sections, consuming stored goods and causing extensive damage.

Upon receiving the alert, Rescue 1122 dispatched multiple firefighting teams to the scene. The teams worked tirelessly for several hours to bring the inferno under control. Their coordinated efforts prevented the fire from escalating further, though the factory suffered substantial losses.
