IBA Karachi Hosts Bangladesh Academics for Exchange

KARACHI - The Institute of Business Administration (IBA) Karachi hosted a delegation of senior academics from Bangladesh on Monday as part of an academic engagement held at its Main Campus. The visiting delegation comprised deans, vice chancellors, heads of departments, directors, faculty members, and senior representatives from leading Bangladeshi higher education institutions, including the University of Rajshahi, University of Dhaka, Chittagong University, Shahjalal University of Science & Technology, Jahangirnagar University, North South University, BRAC University, Asian University of Bangladesh, and Southeast University.

Welcome and Introductions

The session commenced with a welcome note by Dr. S. Akbar Zaidi, Executive Director of IBA Karachi, followed by the introduction of the delegation. The visit provided an opportunity for academic dialogue, institutional exchange, and discussion on areas of mutual interest in higher education.

Focus on Collaboration

The engagement focused on strengthening academic linkages, sharing institutional experiences, and exploring avenues for future collaboration between IBA Karachi and higher education institutions in Bangladesh. Officials from the Higher Education Commission (HEC) of Pakistan were also present during the visit, including Jehanzeb Khan, Project Director; Syed Mehboob Ali Shah, Account Officer and focal person; and representation from the HEC Regional Centre Karachi.
