KCCI Welcomes KP Goat Breeding Farm in Kohat

The Kohat Chamber of Commerce and Industry (KCCI) has welcomed the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa government’s decision to establish a goat breeding farm in the district, describing the initiative as an important step towards promoting livestock development and generating economic opportunities.

Joint Efforts Behind the Project

During a meeting with elected representatives from Kohat, KCCI President Rasheed Paracha and other chamber officials said the project had materialised through the joint efforts of Provincial Information Minister Shafi Jan, Provincial Law Minister Aftab Alam, District Development Advisory Committee (DDAC) Chairman and Member of the Provincial Assembly Daud Shah Afridi, and Member of the National Assembly Shehryar Afridi.

Expected Benefits for Farmers

The chamber said the proposed breeding farm would improve the availability of quality goat breeds, enhance milk and meat production, boost livestock productivity and support the livelihoods of farmers across the region. KCCI officials observed that Kohat and the southern districts possessed considerable untapped potential in the livestock and agriculture sectors.
