Larkana Police Dismantles Drug Supply Gang, Arrests Two

Larkana Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP) Ahmed Chaudhry announced that the network of a gang supplying drugs from Balochistan province to Sindh has been dismantled. The breakthrough occurred during an operation within the jurisdiction of Ratodero Police Station.

Arrests and Seizures

From the Rata Barrage area, police arrested two drug peddler suspects and seized a Honda City car, over three kilograms (3,080 grams) of charas (hashish), and more than 97 kilograms of gutka. The arrested suspects have been identified as Abid Brohi and Naeem Brohi.

Inter-Provincial Gang

According to SSP Chaudhry, the arrested suspects belong to an inter-provincial drug peddling group. Interrogation of the suspects regarding buyers and local dealers is ongoing. The operation marks a significant step in curbing drug trafficking between the two provinces.

In a related development, five officials of the Sindh Food Department were dismissed from service over misappropriation charges. The dismissals were part of ongoing efforts to address corruption within government departments.
