PMD Forecasts Hot Humid Weather with Isolated Rains

The Pakistan Meteorological Department (PMD) has forecast hot and humid weather for most parts of the country over the next 24 hours, with isolated rain, gusty winds, and thunderstorms expected in Kashmir, upper Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, northeastern Punjab, eastern Balochistan, and Gilgit-Baltistan during the evening and night.

Islamabad and Surrounding Areas

According to the latest PMD forecast, Islamabad and nearby areas are expected to remain hot and humid during the day. Partly cloudy skies are likely, while rain accompanied by strong winds and thunderstorms may occur in the evening and night. The department has estimated a 30 percent chance of rainfall in the federal capital.

Khyber Pakhtunkhwa

In Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, most districts are expected to experience hot and humid conditions. However, isolated rain and thunderstorms are likely during the afternoon in Dir, Swat, Kohistan, Shangla, Battagram, Mansehra, Abbottabad, Buner, Bajaur, Waziristan, and Kurram.

Punjab

Punjab is also expected to remain hot and very humid. Rain with gusty winds and thunderstorms may develop during the evening and night in Murree, Galiyat, Chakwal, Jhelum, Mandi Bahauddin, Gujrat, Gujranwala, Hafizabad, Khushab, Lahore, Sheikhupura, Sialkot, Narowal, and Kasur.

Sindh

Sindh will continue to experience mainly hot and humid weather, while the upper districts are likely to remain extremely hot during the daytime. Coastal areas are expected to stay partly cloudy.

Balochistan

In Balochistan, most districts are forecast to remain hot and dry, with central areas likely to face intense heat during the day. Isolated rain, gusty winds, and thunderstorms are expected during the evening and night in Zhob, Barkhan, Musakhel, Sibi, Kohlu, Khuzdar, Awaran, and surrounding areas.

Kashmir and Gilgit-Baltistan

Meanwhile, Kashmir and Gilgit-Baltistan are likely to witness partly cloudy weather, with rain, windstorms, and thunderstorms expected during the afternoon.
