Punjab Extends Summer Vacations for Non-Formal Schools

The Punjab Literacy and Non-Formal Education Department has extended the summer vacations for non-formal educational institutions across the province until June 30. The decision was officially issued by the department, stating that educational activities will now resume from July 1.

Reason for Extension

According to authorities, the extension was granted to accommodate arrangements for Muharram-ul-Haram and due to prevailing weather conditions. Initially, summer vacations were scheduled until June 15, but the new directive prolongs the break further.

Scope of Non-Formal Schools

More than 16,000 non-formal schools operate under the Department of Literacy and Non-Formal Education across Punjab. These institutions play a crucial role in providing education to out-of-school children and adults.
