Heavy rain in Chiniot city and its surroundings broke the grip of intense heat and humidity that had persisted for several days, bringing pleasant weather and relief to citizens. In view of the fear of water accumulation in various low-lying areas during the rain, WASA Chiniot staff remained on high alert. All field teams of WASA continued to monitor low-lying areas, sewer lines and disposal stations and remained active to ensure timely drainage so that citizens did not face any problem.

Power Supply Disrupted

On the other hand, as soon as the rain started, the electricity feeders of several areas of the city tripped, suspending power supply in many areas. Teams of the relevant agencies were active to restore power. Citizens welcomed the pleasant change in the weather due to the rain, however, the administration has appealed to the citizens to take precautionary measures and avoid unnecessary travel in low-lying areas.
