Larkana Police have arrested five suspects in a series of targeted raids across the district, following directives from Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP) Ahmed Chaudhry. The operations, aimed at curbing drug trafficking and criminal activities, led to the recovery of cannabis, illegal weapons, electronic devices, identity cards, mobile phones, and cash.
Raids and Recoveries
Badh Police conducted a raid and apprehended drug peddler suspect Ehsan Mangan, seizing 1 kilogram and 80 grams of cannabis from his possession. In a separate operation, Gharelo Police arrested wanted suspect Munir Gadahi, recovering an unlicensed pistol and bullets. A case has been registered against him under the Sindh Arms Act.
BISP Fraud Crackdown
Dokri Police carried out an operation in the Farm Village area, arresting two suspects, Shamsuddin Anar and Riaz Laghari, for allegedly making illegal deductions from Benazir Income Support Program (BISP) funds. Authorities recovered a device, identity cards, mobile phones, and cash from the duo. A case has been registered against them.
Proclaimed Offender Apprehended
Haideri Police also arrested proclaimed offender suspect Rahib Bhatto during an operation. According to a police spokesperson, further interrogation of all arrested suspects is ongoing, and legal proceedings are underway.
