Seven Cattle Markets Set Up in Abbottabad for Eid-ul-Azha

The district administration of Abbottabad has established seven designated cattle markets across the district, following directives from the provincial government to facilitate the sale and purchase of sacrificial animals ahead of Eid-ul-Azha. All arrangements have been finalized in coordination with the Tehsil Municipal Administrations (TMAs) and the Cantonment Board to ensure the provision of basic facilities for traders and citizens at officially notified sites.

Cattle Markets in Tehsil Abbottabad

In Tehsil Abbottabad, four cattle markets have been set up at the following locations:

  • Cantonment Board Suzuki Stand near FG School
  • Near Abbottabad Public School
  • Qalandarabad close to the Motorway Interchange
  • Dhamtour Bypass

Cattle Markets in Other Tehsils

In Tehsil Havelian, two designated markets have been established in Havelian city and Sajikot. In Tehsil Lora, a cattle market has been notified at Lora Bazaar.

Security and Traffic Arrangements

The district administration has stated that police, livestock officials, traffic police, and rescue services will remain deployed at all designated sites throughout the Eid period to ensure security, regulate traffic flow, and facilitate citizens. Authorities have urged the public to carry out buying and selling activities only at approved cattle markets, warning that action will be taken against illegal roadside sales and unauthorised animal trading points.

District Control Room Activated

For public convenience, a district control room has also been activated in Abbottabad to provide information and assist citizens regarding arrangements and complaints during the Eid period.
