Sindh Distributes Solar Kits to 1,447 Households

The Sindh government has distributed Solar Home System kits to 1,447 deserving households in eight districts under its ‘Roshan Ghar - Roshan Sindh’ programme, officials said on Tuesday.

Project Details and Implementation

According to the Energy Department, the kits were provided under the Solar Home System On-Grid/Off-Grid Project being implemented by the Sindh Rural Support Organisation (SRSO). Officials said the project team worked under extreme heat and difficult field conditions to ensure maximum coverage of eligible families ahead of peak summer.

The Rs1.2 billion project aims to provide reliable and affordable solar energy to 275,000 households across 30 districts of Sindh through a transparent, merit-based selection process.
