Two people sustained injuries after a motorcar skidded off a dangerous curve and plunged approximately 400 feet into a deep ravine on the Alpurai-Lilownai Road in Shangla district, local officials and residents said.

Accident Details

According to initial reports, the vehicle went out of the driver’s control while negotiating a sharp and hazardous bend on the road. The car veered off the roadway, fell into a deep gorge and eventually crashed into the protective boundary wall of the district secretariat located below, leaving the vehicle completely wrecked.

Rescue and Response

Soon after receiving information about the accident, a Rescue 1122 Shangla disaster response team rushed to the scene with emergency rescue equipment and an ambulance. Rescue personnel immediately launched relief operations, provided first aid to the injured occupants and shifted them to safety. The identities and medical condition of the injured persons were not immediately disclosed. Authorities said the victims received timely emergency assistance due to the swift response of the rescue team.
