Federal Finance Minister Muhammad Aurangzeb on Monday launched the InvestPak portal, reaffirming the government's commitment to facilitating investors and promoting investment opportunities through a modern digital platform. Speaking at the launch ceremony, the finance minister described the portal as the beginning of a new era for investment in Pakistan and congratulated State Bank Governor Jameel Ahmad on the initiative.
Portal Aims to Attract Foreign Investment
Aurangzeb said the InvestPak portal has been developed to attract foreign investment by providing investors with easier access to investment opportunities through a streamlined online platform. He added that Pakistan offers substantial investment potential across multiple sectors and that the portal will simplify investment procedures while delivering services in line with international standards.
Investments Starting from Rs5,000
The finance minister also announced that individuals can begin investing with as little as Rs5,000 through the JazzCash app, saying the initiative is designed to benefit retail investors. He noted growing participation in the Pakistan Stock Exchange and encouraged young people, particularly Generation Z, to take advantage of investment opportunities.
Digital Transformation and Private Sector Role
Highlighting the importance of digital transformation, Aurangzeb said platforms such as InvestPak would contribute to Pakistan's economic development, while emphasizing the private sector's central role in achieving sustainable growth.
One-Window Facility for Investors
Earlier, State Bank Governor Jameel Ahmad said the government is taking effective measures to promote investment and that the InvestPak portal will support the expansion of digital investment in Pakistan. He said the platform offers investors a one-window online facility for investment-related services, making the process more efficient, transparent and convenient while helping improve the country's overall investment climate.
