Negotiations on the Pakistan-United States Agreement on Reciprocal Trade are underway in Washington, with the talks starting on Thursday and concluding on Friday. According to Foreign Office Spokesperson Tahir Andrabi, Secretary Commerce Jawad Paul is leading the Pakistan delegation. The talks aim to further strengthen Pakistan-US trade relations, facilitate bilateral trade as a driver of economic cooperation, and pave the way for the diversification and expansion of existing trade.
Delegation Composition and Participation
Among the members of the delegation are Additional Secretary Tahir Andrabi, Secretary of the Overseas Pakistanis and Human Resource Development Division Nadeem Chaudhary, and Joint Secretary (Tariff Policy) Ashfaq Khan. Representatives from other relevant ministries are participating in the negotiations virtually through an online platform, Foreign Office spokesperson Tahir Andrabi said.
