Gold Prices Decline, Silver Rises in Pakistan

Gold prices experienced a decline in both global and local markets on Friday, while silver prices saw an increase, according to data from the All-Pakistan Gems and Jewellers Sarafa Association (APGJSA). In the international bullion market, the price of gold fell by $14 per ounce to settle at $4,100. In the local market, the price of gold per tola decreased by Rs1,400 to Rs432,436, and the price of 10 grams of gold declined by Rs1,200 to Rs370,744.

Silver Prices Rise

Conversely, silver prices rose on Friday. The price of silver per tola increased by Rs11 to reach Rs6,432, while the price of 10 grams of silver rose by Rs10 to Rs5,514, as reported by the APGJSA.

Previous Day's Trends

On Thursday, gold prices had risen in both international and local markets, while silver prices remained stable. The international gold price increased by $36 per ounce to $4,113. Locally, gold per tola rose by Rs3,600 to Rs433,836, and 10 grams of gold increased by Rs3,086 to Rs371,944. Silver prices remained unchanged, with per tola at Rs6,421 and per 10 grams at Rs5,504.

Earlier Weekly Declines

On Wednesday, gold prices declined, with the international price falling by $47 per ounce to $4,078. In Pakistan, gold per tola decreased by Rs4,700 to Rs430,236, and per 10 grams fell by Rs4,029 to Rs368,858. Silver also dropped, with per tola down by Rs138 to Rs6,421 and per 10 grams down by Rs119 to Rs5,504.

On Tuesday, gold prices continued to fall, with the international price declining by $25 per ounce to $4,125. Locally, gold per tola decreased by Rs2,500 to Rs434,936, and per 10 grams fell by Rs2,143 to Rs372,887. Silver per tola dropped by Rs120 to Rs6,559, and per 10 grams declined by Rs103 to Rs5,623.

On Monday, gold prices in Pakistan also declined, tracking international losses. Gold per tola stood at Rs437,436 after falling by Rs2,400, and 10-gram gold was traded at Rs375,030, down Rs2,058, according to APGJSA data.
