Gold prices in Pakistan experienced a significant decline on Wednesday, mirroring losses in the international market. According to data released by the All-Pakistan Gems and Jewellers Sarafa Association (APGJSA), the price of gold per tola fell by Rs8,600, settling at Rs467,762. Similarly, the price of 10-gram gold dropped by Rs7,373 to reach Rs401,030.
This downturn comes after a previous session where gold had gained Rs4,600 per tola, closing at Rs476,362 on Tuesday. The international rate of gold also saw a substantial drop, declining by $86 to reach $4,454 per ounce, with a premium of $20.
In addition to gold, the price of silver also decreased by Rs259, bringing the per tola rate to Rs7,894. The decline in precious metal prices is attributed to global market trends and economic factors affecting investor sentiment.
Market analysts suggest that the volatility in gold prices is likely to continue as global economic conditions evolve. Investors are advised to monitor international rates and local market developments closely.
