Youm-e-Ashur, the 10th day of Muharram, is being observed across Pakistan, including Azad Jammu and Kashmir and Gilgit-Baltistan, on Saturday with profound religious devotion. The day commemorates the sacrifices of Hazrat Imam Hussain (RA), his family members, and companions in the Battle of Karbala. According to historical accounts, Hazrat Imam Hussain (RA), along with 72 of his family members and companions, embraced martyrdom in Karbala while standing for justice, truth, and the principles of Islam.
