Gold prices in Pakistan witnessed a sharp decline on Tuesday, with 24 karat gold per tola falling by Rs10,400 to settle at Rs432,236, compared to Rs442,636 on the previous trading day, according to rates issued by the All Pakistan Sarafa Gems and Jewellers Association.
Price Drop Across Categories
The price of 10 grams of 24 karat gold decreased by Rs9,360 to Rs368,985 from Rs378,345. Similarly, 10 grams of 22 karat gold went down by Rs8,508 to Rs338,575 against Rs347,083.
International Market Impact
In the international market, the price of gold declined by $104.00 to $4,098.00 per ounce from $4,202.00. The decline in global prices contributed to the local reduction.
Silver Prices Also Fall
Meanwhile, the price of silver per tola dropped by Rs487 to Rs6,664 from Rs7,151, while the price of 10 grams of silver decreased by Rs438 to Rs5,641 from Rs6,079. The price of silver in the international market also decreased by $4.861 to $61.853 per ounce from $66.714 per ounce.
Separate Incident: Three Suspected Robbers Killed in Chiniot
