Gold prices surge by Rs 5,000 per tola in Pakistan

The prices of gold increased in the local market on Thursday, with 24 karat gold per tola rising by Rs 5,000 to settle at Rs 475,362 compared to Rs 470,362 on the previous trading day, according to rates issued by the All Pakistan Sarafa Gems and Jewellers Association.

Gold and Silver Prices Rise in Pakistan

Similarly, the price of 10 grams of 24 karat gold increased by Rs 4,287 to Rs 407,546 from Rs 403,259, while the price of 10 grams of 22 karat gold went up by Rs 3,930 to Rs 373,597 from Rs 369,667.

The rates of silver also witnessed an upward trend, as per tola silver prices increased by Rs 60 to Rs 8,034 from Rs 7,974, whereas the price of 10 grams silver rose by Rs 51 to Rs 6,887 from Rs 6,836.

International Market Trends

In the international market, gold prices increased by $50 to settle at $4,530 against $4,480, while silver prices gained $0.60 to $75.50, according to the Association.

This upward movement in precious metals reflects global economic uncertainties and investor demand for safe-haven assets. The All Pakistan Sarafa Gems and Jewellers Association continues to monitor market conditions closely.
