Karachi humidity hits 79%, heat continues, no rain

The Pakistan Meteorological Department (PMD) has reported that humidity levels in Karachi have risen to 79 per cent, making conditions feel significantly hotter than the actual recorded temperature. According to the Met Office, south-westerly winds are blowing at a speed of 18 kilometres per hour, offering only slight relief from the prevailing heat and humidity.

Temperature Forecast

The PMD has forecast daytime temperatures to remain between 37°C and 39°C, with warm and humid weather expected to continue throughout the day. Weather experts have also ruled out the possibility of rainfall in the city for the time being, indicating that dry conditions are likely to persist over the coming days.

Regional Weather Outlook

Elsewhere in the country, mainly hot and dry weather is expected in most regions, while plain areas are likely to experience very high temperatures. However, the Met Office has forecast rain, gusty winds and thunderstorms in Kashmir and nearby hilly areas, where weather conditions are expected to remain comparatively unsettled.
