PM Shehbaz orders wheat supply to K-P via PASSCO

The Ministry of National Food Security has decided to supply wheat to Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa following the directives of Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif. According to the directives, the premier ordered the Ministry of Food Security to facilitate the supply through the Pakistan Agricultural Storage & Services Corporation Limited (PASSCO).

Minister's Statement

Federal Minister for Food Security Rana Tanveer Hussain stated that the prime minister's move aims to protect the people of Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa from the adverse effects of inflation. He further emphasized that instructions have been issued to ensure an immediate and effective wheat supply through PASSCO.

Implementation Details

The decision is expected to stabilize wheat prices in the region and provide relief to consumers. The ministry will coordinate with provincial authorities to streamline distribution and prevent any delays.
