Two separate road accidents in Pakistan have resulted in multiple fatalities and injuries, raising concerns about road safety in the country.
Incident in Punjab
In the first incident, a passenger bus overturned on the Motorway near Lahore, killing at least five people and injuring 20 others. The bus was traveling from Karachi to Lahore when the driver lost control, causing the vehicle to crash into a roadside barrier and overturn. Rescue teams arrived promptly and transported the injured to nearby hospitals. The condition of some of the injured is reported to be critical.
Incident in Sindh
In a separate accident in Sindh province, a collision between a truck and a rickshaw on the National Highway near Hyderabad claimed three lives and left four others injured. The rickshaw was carrying passengers when the truck hit it from behind, causing severe damage. The deceased include two women and a child. Police have registered a case and are investigating the cause of the accident.
