LDA Seals 128 Properties in Lahore Crackdown

The Lahore Development Authority (LDA) sealed 128 properties during a large-scale operation against illegal commercial activities and commercial fee defaulters across various parts of the city. The operation was conducted on the directives of LDA Director General Tahir Farooq.

Enforcement Operations Across Lahore

According to an LDA spokesperson, teams from the Town Planning Wing carried out enforcement operations in Gulberg, New Garden Town, Johar Town, Gulshan Ravi, and along GT Road. During the campaign, 39 properties were sealed in Gulshan Ravi and on GT Road for unauthorized commercial use, while 24 properties in Gulberg and New Garden Town were sealed for non-payment of commercial fees.

Properties Sealed in Johar Town and Sabzazar

The teams also sealed 35 illegal commercial shops in Johar Town and 30 properties in Sabzazar. The sealed properties included private schools, restaurants, food outlets, beauty salons, clinics, grocery stores, bakeries, pharmacies, auto workshops, shops, and offices.

The operation was supervised by Chief Town Planner-I Asad uz Zaman and Chief Town Planner-II Azhar Ali. The LDA stated that indiscriminate action against illegal commercial buildings and fee defaulters will continue across the city.
