Located in Alkhobar, Ten Degrees Cafe provides a calm and spacious environment that feels more like a quiet retreat than a typical bustling coffee shop. The interior is warm and minimalistic, featuring wide seating areas that are perfect for extended stays, whether for work or casual meetups. It is the kind of place where you can easily settle in and relax.
Iced Coffee: A Standout
The highlight of the visit was the iced coffee. Priced at under SR10 (approximately $2.70), it is one of the most affordable options in the city. More importantly, it delivers on taste. The coffee is clean, balanced, and surprisingly enjoyable, outperforming expectations and even surpassing a typical iced V60 in satisfaction. For this price point, it is rare to find such consistency.
Desserts: Room for Improvement
However, the desserts did not match the same level of quality. I tried both the San Sebastian and the cheesecake. While the presentation was appealing, the flavors were excessively sweet. Both items felt overly sugary, which overshadowed any depth or balance. There is clear room for refinement, especially considering the cafe's otherwise thoughtful approach.
Service and Parking
Service is average. Orders arrive within a reasonable timeframe but not particularly fast. That said, the staff were friendly and welcoming, which adds a positive layer to the overall experience and softens the slower pace. Parking can be a challenge. The location, while accessible, does not offer the easiest parking situation, which may affect convenience during peak hours.
Overall Verdict
Ten Degrees Cafe delivers where it matters most for a casual visit: atmosphere and value. The space is comfortable, the pricing is fair, and the iced coffee alone is worth returning for. With some adjustments to the dessert menu, it could easily become a more well-rounded destination.
