ANYSORT Supplies Rice-Sorting Machines to Pakistan

Chinese optical sorting equipment manufacturer ANYSORT is providing rice-sorting machines to Pakistan via local distributors, driven by increasing demand for automated processing in the country's rice industry, a company representative told China Economic Net (CEN).

Expanding Market Reach

The representative noted that Pakistan is a key overseas market for the company’s rice-sorting equipment, and ANYSORT is seeking deeper local cooperation, including potential partnerships with Pakistani firms. The machines utilize optical sensors and AI-based recognition to identify and remove defective grains, broken kernels, and impurities such as glass, plastic, or stones during processing.

Technology Benefits

According to the company, the technology also helps reduce processing losses by improving the separation of usable grains from lower-quality material and impurities. Pakistan, a major producer and exporter of long-grain rice including basmati varieties, has a rice-processing sector with demand for efficiency and quality control improvements.

Agricultural Cooperation

ANYSORT's push into Pakistan coincides with broader efforts by China and Pakistan to expand agricultural cooperation, encompassing agricultural machinery, technical collaboration, and local manufacturing. This cooperation increasingly focuses on moving beyond raw farm product trade toward processing, mechanization, and higher-value supply chains.

Future Plans

The firm is considering introducing a cloud-based factory management system to Pakistan, the representative told CEN. The system is designed to connect sorting machines with production-line management, rather than operating each machine separately.
